Teresa Castaneda - Athena Project Artist

Teresa Castaneda

I wanted to be normal like other kids in grade school but I was doomed from the start with engineering, art, and musical genes. My childhood was plagued with visions, ideas, and words that didn’t exist. As a teen, I snuck coffee and lied about going out with friends when I was really spending the night in college labs creating and inventing. This abnormal path led me through a jewelry career, hundreds of art shows, sales, recognition from four national organizations twice from the National Endowment for the Arts for my inventions and ability speak a universal truth.
